Phones
We've put a great deal of effort into testing and selecting phones based on these criteria:
- Sound quality
- Physical construction
- Ease-of-use features
- Manufacturer longevity, availability, responsiveness
- Goodies
Currently we are offering phones from three manufacturers:
Basic, easy to use, workhorse phones from Grandstream. These are good, solid, uncomplicated desk phones with built-in full speakerphone and all the basic features. Great for home office, construction site, "just give me a phone" applications.
Highest voice quality executive desk and conference phones from Polycom. The Polycom line of IP phones offers the best sound quality and clearest display of the phones we've looked at. Expandable, reliable, very easy to use, these are well suited to busy executives and anyone who spends the day on the phone.
Great voice quality, amazing versatility and cordless options from Aastra. These phones are designed specifically for software-based services like Red Road Telecom, and it shows. Very well suited to call centers, service agents, small-to-medium business reception desks.
OR... Keep your phone! Yes, that's right, you can keep using your existing "regular" analog phone. Red Road Telecom can provide the needed interface "black box" so that you can enjoy all the features of our service even if you don't want a new digital desk phone (although really, we don't know why you wouldn't! :-))
If you'd like to use your laptop as an extension to your office phones, almost any SIP softphone will work well with our service. We can recommend a few that we've tested and, of course, help you with installation.
If you've fallen in love with a particular SIP phone that you'd like to use with our service, we will very likely have no problem setting that up for you - just ask!
